TUITION ASSISTANCE GRANTS

Tuition Assistance Grants are designed for full-time students having completed 2 semesters of music related courses in an accredited University, College, Community College, or Trade School. This grant is awarded 6 times annually and MUST be used for tuition. $10,000.00 maximum award.

Applicant must be US Citizen and full-time student having maintained a 3.0 gpa and having completed two semesters of music related courses at an accredited University, College, Community College, or Trade School.

Copy of Transcripts & Letter of Recommendation from professor or instructor required.
Applicant must be able to show financial hardship.

All grants will be supervised by the Education Committee under the direction of the currently appointed Committee Chairperson. Tuition Assistance Grants are supervised with the head of admissions/tuitions to insure that the grant is used appropriately

GENERAL PURPOSE GRANTS

General Purpose Grants are designed for any practicing musician who has accumulated expenses pertaining to his/her attendance and participation in any event designated to educate or otherwise provide future opportunity in regard to their career in the music entertainment industry. This grant is awarded 6 times annually and MUST be used to offset expenses related to a music opportunity. $5,000.00 maximum award.

Applicant must be a US Citizen and practicing musician who is a current member of a performance rights organization (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) and has commercially released materials to their credit.

Applicant Essay, Letter of Recommendation from accredited industry professional required.
Applicant must be able to show financial hardship and provide receipts and expense reports.

All grants will be supervised by the Education Committee under the direction of the currently appointed Committee Chairperson.

INSTRUMENT FELLOWSHIPS

Gift of Music

 

Musical Instrument Fellowships are designed to allow The Foundation for a Sound Solution unique opportunities to cross-promote with Original Equipment Manufacturer’s to provide musical instrument donations to a variety of educational outlets in need. This grant is awarded 6 times annually and recipients are mutually agreed upon with the OEM. $10,000.00 maximum award.

Applicant must represent a music education school or program operating in a non-profit status and capable of showing financial hardship. Furthermore all fellowship awards are subject to approval from OEM Fellowship Partner.
